Heart to Heart Events

I have been exploring the idea of opening a community center (Heart to Heart) in the Beekman St. area. My vision is to have a place where people can gather, connect and nourish their body, mind and soul. Part of my exploration involves doing some of the activities I envision happening at the center, at my house and other venues in the area. Below are some upcoming events taking place at my house.

Saturday Morning Coffee/Tea Hour

Join me for coffee/tea and breakfast treats at my home on a Saturday morning while we connect and share a relaxing moment. I will try out a different healthy, breakfast item recipe each time to serve along with coffee and a variety of teas.
Time: 9-10 am
Dates: 10/12, 11/9, 12/7

Wednesday Evening Tea and Art Gatherings

Join me on a Wednesday evening in my home studio to connect, support and inspire each other. We will begin each gathering with some tea and a chance to share our intention/focus for the month. We will then use provided art materials to create, play and record ideas and experiences in an art journal. There are no rules and the focus will be on the experience of creation, not on the product. This group will be limited to eight people (including me) so please be sure to RSVP early.
$10 suggested donation for supplies.
Time: 6:30-8:30 pm
Dates: 10/23, 11/20, 12/18

RSVP to JuliAnn@JuliAnnGessler.com. There is no need to commit to all dates in a series.

The Power of Forgiveness Workshop – 11 am
Holding onto hurt, bitterness and resentment creates roadblocks in your own life path. By forgiving and releasing these, you clear the way to create the beautiful life you are meant to live.
In this workshop we will discuss the meaning of forgiveness, learn some clearing exercises and create a therapeutic art piece to bring home as a reminder of the power of forgiveness and your ability to create a beautiful life.

Choosing to forgive is not about condoning bad behavior. Nor does it require you to let someone back into your life. In fact, forgiveness is not about anyone else at all. It’s about you and your choice to not be defined by this painful experience moving forward. It’s about your decision to not live a compromised life because of this disappointment, and your resolve to be liberated from all toxic emotions that could seriously diminish your chances for happiness in the future.  Katherine Woodward Thomas
